Image Editing App Pixlir

Bloggers and content writers are intimately engaged in using Adobe photoshop image editing software, although there are tons of image editing softwares available on internet but Photoshop is the oldest and most familiar one all over the world. So why people are much engaged in photoshop, the reason is that photoshop is a common software with connecting 1.3 billion PCs world wide and people primarily start to grab image editing experience with the most easiest tool that is Photoshop.

But surprisingly photoshop tool is replaceable with Google drive's image editing application Pixlr image editor. This app is powered by pixlr.com but you can connect this app with your drive apps list simply pushing on connect button. You can also disconnect app by apps manager. There are tons of entertaining apps available to connect your drive account and amazingly they are all free of cost.

So today's tutorial i'd show you all how you can connect an image editing app to Google drive, and operate the app as like as your photoshop image editing tool.

Connect Pixlr Image Editor App to Google Drive.

  1. Go to Google Drive and Login your account
  2. Click on Create button
  3. From the dropdown list click on Connect more apps
  4. Now you will see a popup box with tons of Apps list
  5. Using the search box search for "Image Editor"
  6. You should see Pixlr Editor ontop of the list

  10. Now you're on the photo editor application page which seems to be as like as photoshop image editor software

Derive Image and Edit Comfortably

There are 5 more options to derive an image to the editor but for my tutorial purpose i will choose Open image from Computer. If you wish you may pick image from an URL, from library either Pixlr library, Facebook, Picasa or Flickr

Once you drop an image on the editor you can do many things ideally whatever you do everyday with photoshop. You can resize image, change the colors, add text, shadow, opacity, gradient, stroke, glow, bevel and lots more things naturally we do while editing an image.

Advantages

You can have tools, shape layers, navigations, history etc. layout tools that you're very much familiar with photoshop

An interesting thing is that the most common numerical keypads we use in photoshop are usable in this application tool, how? Let's see the examples
  • Ctrl + N = Open New
  • Ctrl+O = Open Files
  • Ctrl+S = Save
  • Ctrl+W = Close
  • Ctrl+Q = Exit
  • Ctrl+Z = Undo
  • Ctrl+Y = Redo
